Kadhai Chicken Recipe

Kadhai Chicken Recipe:

Kadai means a wok which is used in all Indian kitchen.Kadai chicken is mildly flavored with spices and capsicums that's are what make this enticing.It can be had with any rice based dishes or roti,naan or chapati too.Kadai chicken is also known as the karaihi chicken is one of the easiest recipes.This is an easy restaurant style Chicken recipe that is loved by all for its simplicity.

Serves:3 Serving

Ingredients For Kadai chicken Curry:

300 grams chicken
3/4 cup cubed capsicum
1/2 cup onions cubed and layer separated 2 tbsp oil
1 dry red chili
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 chopped onions
salt as required
3/4 tsp garam masala powder mixed with 1/4 red chili powder or 1 tsp kadhai masala powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 to 1/8 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
Few finely chopped coriander leaves

Step by step method of Kadai chicken Curry recipe:

1. Heat a pan with 1/2 tbsp oil and add cubed onions and capsicum and fry for 2-3 minutes.When they begin to smell good ,remove them to a plate and keep aside.

2. Now add 2 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it.Now add 1 broken dry red chili and cumin seeds to the pan.

3. When the cumin seeds begin to burst then add chopped onions and it until the onions turn to golden.

4. Now add the ginger garlic paste stir well until the raw smell of ginger garlic paste is disappears.

5. After that add chicken to the above mixture and mix them well,saute it for 2 minutes.

6. Now cover the kadhai n cook on a low flame till it becomes soft.Do not add water to the chicken.

7. Now remove the cover and add garam masala and red chili powder or kadhai masala and saute it for another 2-3 minute.

8. Pour the tomato puree stir the above mixture and cooked uncovered until the raw smell of tomato puree is goes away.And cooked the chicken about 5-6 second.

9. When the chicken is fully cooked add onions and capsicums to the chicken.

10. Mix well the above mixture and cooked for 2-3 minutes.

11. Add more salt and red chili powder if needed to adjust the spice and color.

12. At the last add some coriander leaves and garam masala and mix well.If required then add some water to the mixture.

13. Now turn off the flame and serve the hot spicy Kadai Chicken with rice or roti.
